Job Overview
The Farm Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Marketing & Programs Manager, and Farm Manager to ensure a safe, efficient, and collaborative working environment. They will oversee all aspects of the farm, help secure grant funding, and lead future farm development initiatives.
In partnership with the Farm Manager, the Farm Director will ensure the production and distribution of high-quality, nutrient-dense food to our target communities—at free or reduced prices—as well as to our wholesale partners. This includes prioritizing regenerative agricultural practices that maintain our organic certification and ensuring proper documentation.
The Farm Director will also manage the farm incubator and apprenticeship programs, oversee interns and volunteers, and collaborate with external groups to support educational programming and community partnerships.
This role requires strong, hands-on knowledge of regenerative agriculture and farm leadership skills, along with a deep commitment to providing healthy food and education as a means to alleviate hunger in local communities.
Key Requirements:
Create and manage a farm production budget
Lead produce donation and sales efforts to help achieve organizational goals
Support and strengthen grant writing and fundraising efforts
Assist with marketing, outreach, and community engagement efforts
Collaborate with community partners and educational programs
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and interns, with appropriate support
Maintain accurate and up-to-date farm records
Oversee organic certification process and maintain nursery license, including all required documentation and reporting
Collaborate with the Farm Manager to develop crop plans, coordinate timely seed ordering, implement soil-building practices, and ensure compliance with organic certification standards in alignment with organizational goals
Plan, implement, and maintain farm infrastructure projects
Oversee ongoing maintenance of site infrastructure, including facilities, fencing, and farm equipment
Qualifications:
Minimum four (4) years of experience in full-season farm management
Working knowledge of regenerative farming practices
Team player with proven leadership skills, able to work independently while communicating effectively with colleagues and partners
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping are essential
Self-motivated, cooperative, and adaptable
Experience with operating farm machinery and executing maintenance
Physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
Reliable transportation
Capacity to work in harsh weather conditions
Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events
Experience in grant writing is strongly preferred
Compensation and Schedule
Farm Director will receive a base salary of $60,000 - $65,000, depending on experience
2 weeks paid time off and up to 5 paid sick days yearly
4 paid holidays off, which include: New Years, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
Seasonal produce to take home regularly
Continuing educational opportunities
Expected to work an average of 40 hours per week onsite in Dripping Springs, TX
Employer contribution to Healthcare Spending Account (HSA)

Job Overview
The Farm Assistant reports directly to the Farm Manager and plays a key role in supporting daily operations. This position works closely with the farm crew to grow, harvest, and distribute produce efficiently each week. The Farm Assistant helps advance our mission to provide fresh produce at free or reduced cost to target communities, as well as to wholesale partners.
This position requires an open mind for uplifting regenerative agriculture practices and a passion for providing healthy food and education to help alleviate hunger in local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with crop production, harvest, post harvest duties and distribution
Assist with volunteers, school groups, and other groups to ensure that work is being completed effectively, safely, and enjoyably
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following established procedures and policies
Other duties as assigned, may be based on interest and skills
Qualifications:
Training will be provided and is required before use of all farm machinery
Preferred minimum one (1) year of experience on a production farm
Collaborate with the farm manager to ensure success in our farm operations
Team player, also able to work independently and communicate effectively
Self-motivated, cooperative, patient and flexible
Physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
Capacity to work in harsh weather conditions
Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events
Reliable transportation
Help with deliveries as needed
Bonus! Experience with farm machinery and operating farm equipment
Compensation and Schedule

2 weeks paid time off and up to 5 paid sick days yearly
